Timisoara, December 12, 2024: MedLife, the largest private healthcare network in Romania, announces the official opening of MedLife Medici’s Hospital, a multidisciplinary unit that brings private medicine to a new level of performance. With an impressive investment of over 25 million euros, this hospital redefines the standards in healthcare, positioning Timisoara among the reference centers for healthcare in Central and Eastern Europe.

Medici’s Hospital, developed by MedLife, is the most important private healthcare investment in the west region of the country. Located in the central area of Timisoara, on Ciprian Porumbescu Street, no. 9, the new hospital occupies an area of 6,200 sq m and is equipped with 120 beds, of which 15 are dedicated to Intensive Care. It has 10 operating rooms, five of which are part of an ultra-modern operating block equipped with clean rooms, two are intended for day surgery, one is allocated for cesarean sections, and two are specialized for childbirth. This large and diversified infrastructure makes MedLife Medici's Hospital one of the most modern and performing private medical units in Romania.

„The opening of MedLife Medici's Hospital confirms our commitment to providing patients with access to integrated and complex medical services, in a modern, safe environment adapted to their needs. Being the first digitalized hospital in western Romania, this project reflects our excellence and vision to invest in the development of medical infrastructure. With the help of a dedicated team and advanced diagnostic and treatment solutions, we want to be close to patients and offer them the best care options.” said Mihai Marcu, President and CEO of MedLife.

A hospital built around technology and excellence

MedLife Medici’s Hospital impresses with its integration of cutting-edge technologies, designed to revolutionize the medical act by increasing patient safety and improving the efficiency of interventions.

A defining element of its infrastructure is the implementation, for the first time in western Romania, of the first complete surgical cleanroom system. This advanced technology, essential in state-of-the-art operating rooms, uses a constant and fully filtered laminar airflow, eliminating contaminating particles from the air. By significantly reducing the risk of post-operative infections, cleanrooms contribute to optimal patient safety. In addition, the facilities include advanced sensors that automatically monitor and regulate environmental parameters, such as temperature, humidity and air pressure, thus creating ideal conditions for complex surgical interventions. The 1 million euro investment in this system underlines MedLife’s commitment to complying with and even exceeding international hygiene and safety standards.

MedLife Medici’s Hospital is also setting a global benchmark by implementing the innovative CollaboratOR® 65 LITE technology, an interactive hub that integrates real-time communication and visualization. This revolutionary solution allows the medical team to access images, patient information and other critical data during interventions, thus increasing the accuracy of decisions. Furthermore, the system facilitates collaboration with experts from around the world, creating unique opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and expertise in real time. By streamlining surgical processes and exceptional team coordination, CollaboratOR® 65 LITE redefines the standards for complex operations.

Another state-of-the-art equipment that completes the hospital’s facilities is the Kinevo 900 visualization system, developed by Carl Zeiss. Representing a benchmark in neurosurgery, this advanced system combines traditional optical visualization with 3D digital imaging in 4K resolution. Surgeons benefit from exceptional clarity and remarkable flexibility in microscopic and exoscopic approaches, allowing complex interventions to be performed with a higher degree of precision. Kinevo 900 optimizes operating time and delivers superior results, making it essential in neurosurgical procedures and other highly complex interventions.

With these advanced technologies, the new hospital demonstrates a strong commitment to innovation, medical excellence and patient safety, consolidating its position as a leader in the healthcare field.

A patient-centered medical experience

The new facility redefines the standards of the patient experience, offering a warm, modern and safe environment. In a unique gesture in the medical landscape, the hospital hosts an art collection dedicated to the historical Banat, with portraits of prominent personalities from the region, created by artist Sorin Bijan. This combination of health and culture transforms a visit to the hospital into a positive and memorable experience.

“MedLife Medici’s Hospital was created out of respect for community values and to meet the needs of patients in the region. The partnership with MedLife was essential to take this project to another level, consolidating it as part of the largest diagnostic and treatment platform in Romania. Together, we have brought together a team of elite doctors and developed modern diagnostic and treatment solutions, contributing to the development of a regional health hub in Timisoara.” said Adrian Badescu, CEO and founder of Medici’s.

Through this investment, MedLife and Medici’s reaffirm their commitment to transforming private healthcare in Romania into a patient-centered system, supported by innovation and professionalism. MedLife Medici’s Hospital becomes a benchmark for medical excellence in Central and Eastern Europe, once again confirming MedLife’s position in private medicine.
